Samira Warsame
Welcome and hello loves!
I'm Samira Warsame — a Toronto-based
documentary-style LANDSCAPE & Wedding Photographer.
What began as a simple hobby—capturing nature and candid moments of friends and family—has grown into a passion for creating images that reflect people in their natural elegance. By blending documentary and lifestyle photography, I aim to tell authentic stories through timeless imagery.
Photography has given me the tools to bring my creative vision to life and to offer my clients images they can truly cherish forever. With a style that emphasizes genuine emotion and enhances natural colour, my work leaves clients feeling warm, joyful, and seen.
A little more about me:
While launching my photography business and working with my first clients, I was also completing my B.A. at the University of Toronto in International Development Studies and City Studies (yes, I know—seemingly unrelated to photography!). But through this program, I discovered the power of documentary photography in telling global stories and capturing lived experiences around the world.
I later pursued my M.A. in Immigration and Settlement at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), where I focused on how the arts can foster belonging for newcomers and refugee communities in the city. My personal art projects have centered marginalized communities and have been showcased in numerous art exhibitions across Toronto.
Now, as a recent bride and a proud new mom of twin boys, the importance of capturing life's fleeting, beautiful moments has deepened even more for me.
But enough about me — you're here for a reason!
I’d love to hear about you and your vision for your special day.
