Samira Warsame
Welcome and hello loves!
My name is Samira Warsame and I’m a Toronto-based documentary photographer. What started off as just a hobby of taking nature photos and documenting my friends and family turned into incorporating these elements together and creating images that fully capture individuals in their natural elegance!
Photography has given me the means to bring my vision to fruition and offer my clients truly timeless photos that they can cherish forever. With a style that captures emotions and brings out natural colours, my images leave my clients feeling warm and happy!
A little more about me! While starting up my business and taking on my first clients, I worked on graduating with my B.A at University of Toronto in International Development Studies and City Studies (I know, completely unrelated to photography). But through this program, I realized that documentary photography plays a role in telling the stories of people around the world. I then completed my M.A. at Ryerson University in Immigration and Settlement where I explored the arts as a means of expressing a sense of belonging for newcomers and refugee communities in Toronto! My creative art projects have surrounded marginalized communities and have been on display in countless art shows and exhibits across the city!
Now, enough about me, you’re here for a reason!
Tell me about you and what you’d like to see from my work on your special day!
